Power Group International (PGI) is a 100% black-owned Pan African investment company with interests in Fintech, Concessions, ICT, Management Consulting, Agriculture and Media. PGI was founded in 2012 with the intention of creating solution-driven brands that seek to solve high unemployment in South Africa. We believe the high youth unemployment rate is solvable through SME and Youth development models that seek to achieve the principles for broader societal transformation.
Our passion is building businesses with a purpose of solving bigger societal challenges especially amongst the youth. Impact investing is a relatively new approach to investing and most investors believe there’s a need to trade-off between financial and social returns. At PGI, we fully believe in doing well by doing good – delivering both social and financial return with no trade- off.

Gradville, a PGI subsidiary – is a platform which seeks to invest in young talent as the basis for building a strong leadership bench strength for a businesses. We have created a young professional network which brought together graduates from commerce, law, management, engineering, health sciences, and humanities. This young professional platform provides an avenue for both private and public organizations to interact with graduates in real time and get to understand their needs, value system and barriers to entry into the formal workplace. Gradville seeks to become a bridge and solution-tank platform that will harness talent management approaches from recruitment, training, work-place readiness and retention to leadership development in becoming part of the solution to high unemployment rate amongst the graduate community.
